Ich aber und meine Schwester - - - wieauch Unsere Bürger haben die von euch gemachte Verkündungfür den Gott und die Unverletzlichkeit anerkanntund ebenfalls gern die gemeinsame Verwandtschaft als wahrund für Uns sowie für euch würdig anerkannt,wobei deren größtes Zeugnis das von UnseremVater gegebene ist, das, wie ihr gezeigt habt,von jenem selbst herrührt. Sollten einige von den übrigenGriechen dies als Beginn der Freundschaft nehmenund öffentlich zuerst Uns als Verwandten bezeichnen,so würden wir sie gern empfangen mit allenGunstbeweisen, die Wir schon lange haben für jene,die eine solch starke Verwandtschaft und solche Blutsbandein Erinnerung rufen und diese zu bewahren bemüht sind,und dies in vielfacher Weise. Für jetzt haben Wir (eure) guteGesinnung anerkannt, und für die Zukunft werden Wir versuchen,die Gunstbeweise bewahrend, die, in alter Zeit eingeführt,jetzt aber in schöner und geziemender Weise von euchzur besten Erneuerung gebracht wurden, ihr wohlgesonnenen Freunde,(diese) dem Volk zu erhalten und, eure Bitten erhörend,ihnen stets nach Kräften zu willfahren.
